How Much You Can Earn We pay a base price per article, more if you do an interview, plus we pay for performance. The more readers your article attracts, the more you get paid - to a maximum of $200 USD per article. You will receive a check each month for the money earned the previous month (minimum payment $15). We pay $15 per article, plus $0.02 per pageview for 3 months, plus $5 per form filled out for 3 months, if your article is news or an interview. We pay $5 per article, plus $0.02 per pageview for 3 months, plus $5 per form filled out for 3 months. Example: Suppose you write an article that includes an interview and in three months your article received 1,600 pageviews, and twelve people who arrive at IdeaConnection on your article, and who also fill our a form for any of our services, then you would receive $122. Bonus: we also pay a bonus for any permanent links you get from other websites, forums and blogs, to any of your articles. To receive this bonus just send us an email once a month with the URL of each new link. This amount of this bonus is at our discretion and will be based on the value of the links. You retain the copyright to all your writing. What You Can Write You can write about innovation, inventing, thinking, problem solving, collaboration, the buying and selling of technology, and any subject that you see on this website. Extranet We have set up an Extranet on our website where you can view your stats and see how much you will be paid for each of your articles that we have published. After your first article has been accepted, you will be given a username and passowrd. Login to the "Authors Login" at the bottom of our Homepage, and you will be able to see the total amount of page views, forms filled out and amount of money you have earned. How Does it Work? You must write, proof-read and edit your articles. Our editor will review your articles and then publish them to our website. Not all articles submitted will be accepted, but once you learn what we want, then most likely all your articles will be accepted. Some of our writers have every article they write published. Encourage visitors to view your articles by linking to them from related areas on the net. i.e. in forums, blogs, advocacy groups, etc. This will increase your income by increasing the pageviews and possibly the forms filled out. Articles must be submitted as a Word .doc email attachment. Articles must begin with the relevant city and country, i.e. BOSTON, USA. First paragraph must in include key words and be only 3-4 sentences long. Your Responsibilities
Our Responsibilities We publish and promote your articles on IdeaConnection.com. We mail checks for your articles on or before the 15th of the month, for all money earned the previous month. We are happy to post your photo and bio on our Writers' Bios page. How Do I Start? Complete this [Application Form]. You may write as many articles as you like, but please wait for the previous one to be published before submitting the next one. You will be emailed the URL of each of your published articles within minutes of them going live. Guidelines News Article: ensure it is timely, i.e. within the last week or so. Recent news does not mean last year. Opinion Article: Be clear that the reader knows this is your opinion and not fact. Most important: ideas/facts first. Spell check: before you submit. Clarity: Be concise and clear and stay on topic. Make sure your subject is included in the header and first paragraph. Stick to one idea per paragraph. Truthfulness and Accuracy: You will not deliberately write a dishonest, plagiarized, or inaccurate statement into the manuscript. Sources: Quotes and Facts must be accompanied by a list of sources at the end of your article.
