Problem for the Common Good

A Viable Alternative to the Gasoline Powered Vehicle

Outline:
We need a realistic, viable, economic alternative to the internal combustion engine of over 90 years which powers our transportation vehicles.

The Problem:
For over 90 years we have seen little improvement in our mode(s) of transportation. We need a realistic, viable, economic alternative to the internal combustion engine. In order to be acceptable, it needs to be a DIRECT competitor, i.e., it needs to be just as simple to operate, to refuel/recharge & economic with little or zero pollution. The public will not accept or use a more complex or more expensive alternative. It must be simple, basic & cheap.

Criteria that must be met in order for the problem to be considered solved:
1) Simple & Easy to Operate
2) Economically Feasible to Manufacture
3) Affordable to the General Public, under $12,000
4) Pollution Shall be Extremely Low or Zero
5) The Vehicle Shall Be Held to US Safety Standards

What will be done once a good solution has been found:
Present it to local, state & federal governments as viable solution to our energy problems.
